YEAR 2011 NEWS

Grilling with VIPs, a lot of shows and attractions for the whole family and a great concert of the band Afromental and fireworks. It's all waiting for us at a picnic Europe Day - ob July 1st at Zemborzycki Lake.

That day Poland will assume presidency of the European Union, the first time since joining the community. We will replace the Hungarians, who lead the Union from 1 January. For half a year, Poland will lead the EU Council, representing the Council in front of the European Commission and European Parliament and in its relations with other countries and international organizations. We want to celebrate our presidency with a big picnic.

On July 1st, we invite you to the resort Słoneczny Wrotkow. You can arrive by bicycle, car or public transport. We invite the whole familys, because the attractions that we have, will appeal to everyone. We begin by early afternoon (at 17.00.) At the end of the event (around midnight), we organize a huge fireworks display.

Everyone will surely find something for themselves. Will be able to taste the dishes grilled by the well-known citizens of our city and region (under the "grill of VIP") and win the gadgets of the European Union competitions for the community. This "Body".

Do "the spirit" will provide the star that occur on our special stage. First performances by famous celebrities impersonators - Elvis Presley, Abba, Boney M and Maryla Rodowicz. Then the stage will be taken by star of the evening - Afromental.

European Picnic is organized jointly by Dziennik Wschodni, MM My City of Lublin, Lublin City Council, Municipal Sports and Recreation in Lublin and Lubelskie voivodship Marshal's Office. The honorary patronage over the event included The Regional Centre for European Information in Lublin, which will organizes the European competitions during the picnic, prof. Lena Kolarska-Bobinska MEP, Paweł Pikul Lublin governor and the Provincial Traffic Centre in Lublin.

Admission to all events is free. We invite everyone to the picnic.
