02.09.2009 Lublin „Soldiers` cemeteries and the history of the I World War” European Centre of Youth Co-operation

Polish – German – Hungarian youth exchange took place in European Meeting House in Nasutów between 4th of August and 16th of August 2009. Young people from Poland, Hungary and Germany took part in the third edition of the event. During the workcamp, they took care of World War I military cementaries in Strzeszkowice Duże and Opole Lubelskie.

Apart from work, young people took part in the World War I history and stereotypes workshop and visited Majdanek Concentration Camp. As a final point of the exchange, youth attended the celebrations of official opening of renovated military cementaries of World War I in Świdnik and Strzeszkowice Duże.

The partners of the project include the European Cooperation Society, the Hamburg branch of the German People's Association for Military Graves Care and Austrian Black Cross.
