European Voluntary Service (EVS) -Action 2. of theProgramme „Youth in Action ", which was created in order to facilitate young people acquiring new and valuable in today's labor market skills and competences.

European Voluntary Service is an opportunity for a great experience, a unique adventure, but it is first of all the work for other people. A young person may found itself in a different role, acquire new skills, learn a new language and also can obtain a Youthpass certificate attesting skills gained abroad.

Organisations that host such volunteers have an opportunity to gain new ideas and refresh their actions, as well as to start the international co-operation with new partners.

In 2009, the European Meeting Centre – Nowy Staw Foundation will continue to act as the Supportive Organisation for European Voluntary Service in Lublin region.

Foundation as the Supportive Organisation for EVS offers support to those organisations and institutions who are interested in starting the activities of the EuropeanVoluntary Service but do not know how to do that.

Supportive Organisation can help by:

• Support for the new EVS organisation
  
• Finding a volunteer from another country,
  
• Support for EVS project management,
  
• Training for organisations interested in hosting foreign volunteers,
  
• Training for organisations interested in sending volunteers to other countries,
  
• Information meetings about the European Voluntary Service "to order"
