“Transfer of know how on professional counselling for young people” third and fourth workshops begin..
Between 4th and 8th of May third and fourth workshops on professional counseling for young people and know-how transfer between Norway, Ukraine, Belarus and Poland will take place in Nasutów near Lublin. Career advisors, psychologists, educators and youth workers from Ukraine, Belarus and Poland – almost 50 people will take part in it. Trainers will be experienced career advisors from Norway. Participants will get to know about professional counseling in Norway, group counseling and also learn about coaching and mastering in career advising. Apart from that integration and intercultural sessions are to be held. Workshops are part of the “Transfer of know-how on professional counseling for young people” project co-organized by European Meeting Centre – Nowy Staw Foundation. In the frames of the project 10 workshops in Poland, Ukraine and Belarus as well as study visit in Norway will take place.

Europe Direct
Training about conducting European lessons
From 23rd until 24 of April Information Point Europe Direct – Lublin functioning by the Foundation organized traineeship for people who want to lead European lessons at schools.
The traineeship was for volunteers working in the Foundation and Europe Direct – Lublin. Participants learned about the self presentation and public speeches and the trainers prepared them also substantively and technically to conduct such classes.

RCIE Lublin- Europe Direct Lublin
Simulation of plenary session of the European Parliament
Regional Centre of European Information in Lublin, and Europe Direct - Lublin would like to invite secondary school students from Lubelskie region to participate in a simulation meeting of the European Parliament, to be held on "Europe Day" on May 7 2010 in Lublin Town Hall.
Partners of the project are: Department of European Funds of the City Office of Lublin, Lena Kolarska - Bobinska Member of the European Parliament and the Board of Education in Lublin. The purpose of the simulation is to disseminate knowledge about the structure and functioning of the European Union, especially the European Parliament, and developing young people's skills of discussion, rhetoric, and argumentation.

“Image of truth” – international youth exchange in Łuck, Ukraine.
An international youth exchange is going to be held between 10th-17th April 2010, in Lutsk, Ukraine, which group of Foundation’s volunteers take part in. The theme of the exchange concerns propaganda in mass-media.
Youth from four European countries: Belarus, Germany, Poland and Ukraine is going to participate in this event. During seven days of the exchange young people will have the opportunity to share their views about the influence of manipulation, propaganda and mass-media on the political and social life in modern world as well as they will go back to the times of second world war to discover the similarities and differences of propaganda techniques. To achieve this they will take part in workshops, during which they will look both in the past and our present to identify the means of propaganda extensively used in the media – classical posters of WW II, radio broadcasts or modern Internet banners, TV ads etc.

Training for people interested in the programme "Youth in Action" 19-20 April 2010
European Meeting Centre – Nowy Staw Foundation invites representatives of non-governmental organizations, members of informal groups of young people, representatives of local self-government, the institution's staff working with young people, volunteers and young people from the Lublin region for training on the programme of the European Commission - "Youth in Action".
The training will take place from 19th till 20th February 2010 in Nasutow, near Lublin. Participation in the meeting is free, participants will receive promotional materials of the "Youth in Action" programme. During the meeting, participants will learn general principles of the Programme and the specificity of each of its Actions. The meeting is intended for people who wish to avail themselves of the possibility of financing projects in the framework of the "Youth in Action"

Youth Drum Experience – International Youth Exchange in Nasutów
Between 17-25 April 2010 in Nasutów near Lublin youth exchange entitled "Youth Drum Experience" (Młodzieżowa Wymiana Bębniarska) organized by volunteers from European Meeting Centre – Nowy Staw Foundation will take place. The project main theme will be playing drums and rhythm. Participants of the project will be young people from 6 countries: Poland, Turkey, Lithuania, Hungary, Greece, and Latvia.
Through this project we want to show how our continent diverse in terms of culture, and show that you can establish a common language with everyone. The tool for uniting young people all over Europe will be rhythm – a factor that exists in all cultures. During the project workshops on Litewski Square will take place as well as a parade to the Old Town and concert on Plac Po Farze on 24th April 2010. Among final results of the project will be photographic display and a film that will be distributed as an example of youth activation.

First “Transfer of know how on professional counselling for young people” workshops ended.
Between 22nd and 26th of March workshops on professional counseling for young people and know-how transfer between Norway, Ukraine, Belarus and Poland took place in European Meeting Centre in Nasutów near Lublin.
Career advisors, psychologists, educators and youth workers from Ukraine, Belarus and Poland – almost 50 people took part in it. Workshops started with integration session using various methods and practices. Apart from that main subjects during working sessions were: self-knowledge in the context of profession choice – recognition of personal features, character, temperament, interests – self-rating tools, self – analysis, focus on personal advantages, weak points elimination, systems using to combine personal features with professional profiles, labour market tendencies, professions of the future, job seeking methods analysis. Workshops were part of the “Transfer of know-how on professional counseling for young people” project co-organized by European Meeting Centre – Nowy Staw Foundation. There are still 4 workshops to be held under the project in Poland, Ukraine and Belarus as well as study visit in Norway. Next meeting will take place between 4-8 May in Nasutów near Lublin.
