Economic Forum of Young Leaders
Young Leaders meet in Poland.
We would like to invite representatives of your institution to participate in the 5th Economic Forum of Young Leaders which will take place between 7th and 11th of September 2010 in Nowy Sącz (close to Krakow), Poland.
Young leaders from all over Europe meet in Poland to create ideas for the future of Europe.
Economic Forum of Young Leaders is an opportunity to meet, make friends and talk about Europe.
The recruitment of participants has started and you should send your application as quickly as possible.

Breaking stereotypes by street dance
This is a Polish-German exchange addressed to young people aged from 12 to 15 years old from Lublin and Berlin. The theme of the meeting , which will take place in the Nasutów House – Meeting Centre held from 24.07 to 30.07 , will be a variety of contemporary dance - street dance .
Young Germans and Poles will have an opportunity to take part in dance workshops led by dance instructors from Poland and Germany . In addition, the exchange is planned workshops with teaching a circus, movie night and a trip to Lublin.
The end result of Polish-German meeting of young dancers will be the final show in Lublin.

Educational Fair
Saturday 24 July 2010. 14.00-19.00 Lublin, Błonie at the castle

Event held on the occasion of the celebration of Lublin July 1980
We invite you to participate in the second of the series of five educational fairs to promote lifelong learning within the school, which will take place near the castle in Lublin.
Honorary patronage over the event took Krzysztof Babisz School Superintendent. Fairs are aimed at adults aged 18-64 years (not including those students aged 18-24 years). During the event, a pre-primary schools for adults from the district of Lublin will be presented, employers from the region, the institutions of information and advisory services related to vocational learning. Fair participants will have the possibility to read the journals of adult education schools, talk with employers and benefit from counseling psychologist, vocational counselor in planning their further education and careers.

Show up! Present yourself!
Together with the youth from Ukraine and Germany polish group from Lublin will participate from the 14 th of July till the 20 th of July 2010 in the exchange entitled "Show yourself! Present yourself!" in the Großkayna near Merserburg in Germany.
Polish-German-Ukrainian meeting concerns the wide subject of advertising. In an exchange young people will participate in workshops about advertising in the past and present or manipulation in advertising. The end result of three national youth summit will be creating an advertising campaign.

Polish-German-Ukrainian workcamp
"War cemeteries and the history of World War I"

For the fourth time the European Meeting Centre-Nowy Staw Foundation jointly with the European Cooperation Society, the Hamburg branch of the German People's Association for Military Graves Care and Austrian Black Cross organize workcamp about the soldiers' cemetery of the First World War from 30.07. until 14.08.2010.
This year the youth will work in the soldiers cemeteries in Borów, Opole Lubelskie and Fajsławice.
The Program of the Workcamp provides cleanup work at the cemeteries. Also there will be workshops and historical discussions of the history of the First World War.
There is also planned a trip to Kazimierz Dolny and Lublin as well as a visit to Majdanek.

Europe is our common future
Young people from Poland, Germany and France will take part on 17.07-30.07. in a youth exchange concerning antidiscrimination and prejudices which are found in modern European societies.
Within the dual exchange the young Germans, French and Poles will be able to participate in an antidiscrimination workshop on the broader issues. In addition an exchange program is enriched with creative art and music workshops.
The first part of the exchange will take place at the European Meeting Centre in Nasutów, the second part will take place in Dresden
The organizers of the meeting are: the European Meeting Centre - Nowy Staw Foundation, Europe Direkt e.v and the CEFIR Association.

Participation of young people.
Polish-Lithuanian-German youth exchange
From the 8 th till the 17th of July a group of young people from Niemce will take part in the Polish-Lithuanian-German youth exchange organized in Jugendbildungszentrum Blossin near Berlin.
Exchange program provides workshops, visit of young Poles, Germans and Lithuanians in the youth sports club "Island" supporting the integration of young immigrants in German society and actively explore Berlin in trinational groups.

"Success depends on you!"
– activation of people aged 45+ living in the Bieszczady, Brzozow, or Lesko districts.”
On July 1st we started the realization of a new project in the Subcarpathian province: "Success depends on you!" – activation of people aged 45+ living in the Bieszczady, Brzozow, or Lesko districts.” The project is realized under the European Social Fund.
The goal of the project is to increase the chances of unemployed people over the age of 45 to return to work. We invite men and women living in Lesko, Bieszczady, or Brzozow districts, who are at least 45 years old and are unemployed. We especially welcome people who are long-term unemployed and live far from the city.
Participants in the project will receive support in determining their personal and professional predispositions and planning the course of their career (psychological support and individual career guidance). They will gain skills for maneuvering in the working field (group career guidance), increase their qualifications (vocational courses), and will have the opportunity to utilize their gained skills (3 month internship). For the participants of this project we guarantee the return of transportation costs, meals during the courses, educational and training scholarships, and funding for the care of their children up to 7 years old.

Internet platform on professional counseling within the project “Transfer of know-how on professional counseling for young people” is running!
On www.professional-youth.eu website you’ll find the internet platform on professional counseling (not only) for young people. Platform is a part of the project “Transfer of know how on professional counseling for young people”.

You’ll find information about professional counseling in European countries, tips about education and career planning as well as news from the project.

The aim of the platform is to enable permanent and efficient transfer of knowledge/ideas on professional counseling (not only) for youth.

The platform will be available in 4 languages: English, Polish, Ukrainian, Belarusian and Norwegian.

Regional Center of European Information in Lublin
"Europe for Citizens"

On the 28th of June 2010 Regional Centre For European Information held a training on possibilities of obtaining grants from the Programme "Europe for Citizens".
During the training, a representative of the Association of Polish Cities Katarzyna Paczyńska, and Anna Samel representing Contact Point for the program “Europe for Citizens” presented the program from the formal (rules and criteria, how to apply for financial support) and practical (instructions for completing application forms, planning, methodology, promotion and financial administration of projects) side.
During the training a representative of a school from Łęczna shared his practical experience on organizing such projects.
The training also contained workshops “creation of thematic networking of twinned towns."
The training was attended by representatives of local and regional administration, representatives of NGOs and associations.

Training on "Youth in Action" programme
Between 23rd and 24th June 2010 in Nasutów, near Lublin a training on "Youth in Action" programme took place.
During the training participants learnt general principles of the Programme and the specificity of each of its Actions. The training was intended for people who wish to avail themselves of the possibility of financing projects in the framework of the "Youth in Action".

The economic situation in Poland and Germany
By the 06th to 12th of June 2010 took place return visit of the German-Polish youth exchange "The economic situation in Poland and Germany" in Flecken Zechlin near Berlin.
During the exchange, participants paid particular attention to the organic market in Germany. Young Germans and Poles have developed an advertising campaign of Polish and German products and visited the ecological farm in Zempow, where they obtained such information as ecological animal husbandry.
In this exchange participants made study about health food stores in Berlin and visited the capitals of Germany actively.

Poles and Germans
on the way to the common future in peace and freedom

On 27.05-2.06.2010 group of young people from the Lublin Gymnasium No. 24 participated in the Polish- German youth meeting in Münster.
Youth exchange program implements the winners of the German-Polish competition "Poles and Germans on the way to a common future in peace and freedom."
The competition was aimed at young urban dwellers partner Lublin and Münster. Using film, music, theater, the Internet, the written word or other form was developed on "Poles and Germans towards a common future in peace and freedom."
Winning people prepared newspaper "Crossing the symbols."
During the meeting was awards ceremony for Polish and German winners contest by the Mayor of Münster in the symbolic Hall of Peace.
The program provides for the exchange of such visit to the Polish Catholic Mission in the Church of St. Anthony in Münster, participated in the official opening of the International Days of the Hanseatic League and also visit the oldest German school gymnasium Paulinum.
In addition to the formal elements of the program, young Germans and Poles had a chance to exchange experience and know each other and canoeing, or at the BBQ joint Aasee.

European Centre of Youth Co-operation
Journalism as an opportunity to equality
“Journalism as an opportunity to equality” is the youth exchange project and will be taking place in Nasutów near Lublin, from the 27th June till 10th July 2010. There will be 34 young people from different European Countries such like: Poland, Latvia, Italy, Greece, Czech Republic and Turkey
The main purpose of exchange is developing solidarity, tolerance among European youth and preventing from intolerance by meeting different cultures and getting to know them, showing importance of independent journalist in building society without discrimination.
The final effect of the exchange is going to be an exhibition that will take place in Nasutów.
